West Arm Provincial Park This park extends along the shore of Kootenay Lake from Nelson to Harrop and up to the peaks behind. The creek fans and pocket beaches are popular with boaters and there is a historic trail (not maintained) up Lasca Creek. The park is largely undeveloped.

Nelson & District Riding Club Originated in 1966. Since then our Club has grown immensely. We now have a wider range of riding activities and a more equipped facility to accommodate these riding and driving activities. Our Club hosts English and Western Clinics, Horse Shows, Gymkhana's, Roping nights, Driving Clinics and Shows, riding activities for Juniors, Children's Wish Foundation Fundraising Trail Ride as well as activities for non-riders such as Dances, Potlucks and social events.
