The Stitch Hiker Birthe Wilson-Achtner lives in the historical City of Nelson on the edge of Kootenay Lake in British Columbia. As well as designing counted cross-stitch Birthe also weaves, paints on fabric, and hand-knits Scandinavian style sweaters. Her work has been sold in Europe, Canada, United States, and Japan.
For those who appreciate the art of Cross Stitching, these beautiful designs will be greatly treasured.
All designs are hand-drawn, not computer generated. Birthe works from her own photographs or from the designs of Mark Preston of the T'lingit Nation.
Each cross-stich design is packaged as a kit with 16-count Aida cloth, embroidery thread, needle, and instructions with photo of finished work.
